Between 16 April and 8 May 2026, the national teams of RISE Balkans held 6 focus group discussions with a total of 61 young people aged 18–26: in Greece (17 April), in Sofia, Bulgaria (23 April), in Zagreb, Croatia (27 April), in Tirana, Albania (16 April) and in North Macedonia, in Skopje (30 April) and Kumanovo (8 May).
Following a common discussion guide, each discussion lasted about 60 to 90 minutes and was held in the national language. Participation was voluntary, and all participants gave their informed consent. The discussions explored in depth the experiences, attitudes and perspectives of young people on civic participation, transparency and corruption, complementing the results of the online survey.
The national summaries of the discussions informed the National Reports and the Comparative Analysis Report of the project.
