Between 24 April and 6 May 2026, the RISE Balkans partners held 7 validation workshops with young people in the 5 project countries: in Athens (24 April), in Sofia (29 April and 4 May), in Zagreb (4 May), in Tirana (6 May), and in Shtip and Kichevo (5 May). In total, 338 young people took part.
At each workshop, the national team presented the preliminary findings of the online survey and the focus group discussions. The participants then discussed them in small groups and agreed on the validated messages in a plenary session.
The participants largely confirmed the survey results. They stressed that young people are interested in public life but need clearer information, better communication, practical training, institutional responsiveness and visible follow-up. They also asked for information in simple language, safe and anonymous ways of reporting corruption, and meetings with institutions that lead to concrete feedback rather than symbolic participation.
The feedback of the workshops was integrated into the National Reports and the Comparative Analysis Report.
